Expeditions Guide

Lighthouse Expeditions in DIVE or DIE — higher-tier survivors, destination traits, Blessed destinations, and success tips.

Why Expeditions Matter

Drop Rate Studio’s official tips call Expeditions the only reliable path to higher-tier survivors and certain destination-exclusive traits. Unlock Expedition slots by upgrading the Lighthouse, then send surplus camp staff — never your last healthy diver — while you dive the Abyssal Pool.

Expeditions run in parallel with dive days. Plan returns as named appointments: a Blessed harvest, a recruit with Navigation or Blessed Host, or materials you would rather not farm underwater.

Destinations and Rewards

Community notes highlight destinations such as the Gargantuan Carcass and Mysterious Pyramid for limited Blessed item rolls — RNG-bound, but useful when you refuse to bless a biome yet. Standard destinations return recruits, resources, or traits unavailable at the daily Lighthouse queue.

Idol of Loss Dark Arts improves Expedition success based on dead survivors (capped). Navigation passion on the Lighthouse raises success rates; Blessed Host improves recruit quality. Cancel nonessential Expeditions before the Final Flood day.

Roster Discipline

Do not empty the camp. Keep two divers, one staffer per critical building, and only then fill Expedition slots. Failed Expeditions can lose survivors — treat high-risk destinations like deep dives: oxygen equivalent is roster risk. Pair this page with Recruitment and Nutrition & Morale.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I start Expeditions?
After the Fishing Hut stabilizes food and the Lighthouse has spare staff beyond two divers and critical building roles.
Can Expeditions give Blessed items?
Some destinations (such as Gargantuan Carcass or Mysterious Pyramid) can return selected Blessed items with RNG — biome blessing and Gazing Moon remain more reliable.
Do dead survivors help Expeditions?
Idol of Loss Dark Arts grants capped Expedition success bonuses per dead survivor.
