Psalmists in the Pool
During Chanting Moon, Maddening Rain Psalmists chant throughout the Abyssal Pool. These event-only enemies carry permanent stat rewards when killed. The event replaces ordinary farming — treat it as a combat contract, not a general salvage dive.
Cancel the event through Worship at the Altar if your roster lacks combat gear or oxygen reserves. Embrace it when a specialized diver can hunt Psalmists and still return safely.
Hunting Strategy
Send your best combat diver with Nailgun or upgraded melee, maximum Health, and oxygen to spare. Hunt Psalmists deliberately along mapped routes. Abort if the search consumes the oxygen budget needed to extract with your primary objective.
Stat boosts persist for the rest of the run — they stack value across later Idol attempts and Stalker Wells traversals. Pair Chanting Moon with Red Moon only if you understand double damage risk; otherwise dedicate the day solely to Psalmist kills.
