Fishing Hut Guide

DIVE or DIE Fishing Hut guide — passive Nutrition and Morale, Fishing perks, nets, and daily collection routine.

Passive Camp Stability

The Fishing Hut generates Nutrition or Morale without risking a diver. Select whether to prioritize fish or treasures, assign a survivor with the Fishing perk, and collect output manually before each dive — yields do not auto-deposit into camp stockpiles.

Launch-week guides treat the Fishing Hut as one of the three early pillars alongside the Diving Deck and Workshop. Even when dives return mostly crafting materials, daily fishing keeps Nutrition and Morale from collapsing into Starving or Demoralized states.

Perks, Nets, and Tiers

Staff the Hut with a Fishing-perk survivor for rarer catches. Max Fishing increases daily yield. Blessed Netter adds a random bonus resource on top of normal production — strong pairing for mid-campaign upkeep.

Higher tiers unlock additional Fishing Nets. Nets break after several days and must be rebuilt from Algae Tissue, Plank, Web Coral, and later Blessed materials. Check net condition during your morning camp routine, not after launching a dive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to collect fishing yields manually?
Yes. Visit the Fishing Hut and gather items before diving or they remain inside the building.
Fish or treasures?
Prioritize fish when Nutrition is low; switch to treasures when Morale is the bottleneck.
When should I upgrade the Fishing Hut?
After all nine buildings are manned and your Diving Deck Tier 2 plan is underway — usually mid first campaign week.
