Survivor Traits & Perks

All DIVE or DIE survivor traits and building perks — Ritual Practice, Navigation, Erudition, and diving specializations.

Trait System Overview

Every survivor arrives with base stats and traits that determine building effectiveness and diving capability. Traits divide into building perks (active when assigned to a structure), diving traits (active underwater), and Passion traits (+100% experience in specific buildings).

On level-up, choose traits matching the survivor's role. A dedicated diver wants Apnea, Raw Strength, and weapon handling. A Lighthouse keeper wants Navigation and Blessed Host.

Key Building Perks

Ritual Practice (Memorial) — bonus Nutrition and Morale from Tributes. Navigation (Lighthouse) — Expedition success rate. Blessed Host (Lighthouse) — recruits without negative traits. Bookkeeping (Town Hall) — increased Nutrition/Morale caps. Erudition (Library) — settlement-wide experience bonus. Machines passion (Workshop) — doubled Workshop experience.

Key Diving Traits

Apnea — increased oxygen capacity. Raw Strength — increased carry weight. Unnatural Regeneration — full heal after each dive at cost of fifty percent base Health. Weapon handling traits improve combat effectiveness underwater.

Unnatural Regeneration is exceptional for primary divers who survive most dives but occasionally take damage. The Health penalty is manageable with Infirmary backup.
