Nutrition & Morale Guide
Manage Nutrition and Morale in DIVE or DIE — Camp Report upkeep, Fishing Hut, Memorial Tributes, and surplus bonuses.
Why the Camp Report Matters
Every morning the Camp Report bills overnight Nutrition and Morale. Surplus raises maximum Health and Sanity across the roster; starvation and demoralization cut those caps and can injure survivors who stay at camp. Ignoring upkeep is one of the most common early-run failures — more survivors means more daily burn.
Staff buildings before you recruit. An unmanned Fishing Hut or Memorial cannot offset a bloated roster. Read the Lighthouse upkeep panel before accepting another recruit.
Stabilize Food and Spirit
Upgrade and man the Fishing Hut early. Assign Fishing or Blessed Netter traits, collect nets before each dive, and treat passive food as the backbone of early Worship Nutrition offerings. Dive for Mementos and burn Memorial Tributes when Morale dips — do not wait until Sanity collapses mid-descent.
Traits like Healthy and Calm blunt low-upkeep penalties; Compulsive Eater and Edgy amplify them. Prefer recruits that match your current deficit. Idol of Respite’s Dark Arts also trims total camp Nutrition and Morale upkeep once recovered.
Worship vs Survival Stockpiles
Nutrition and Morale gifts each fill 25% of the Altar Worship meter (one offering per day). Never empty the pantry just to buy a Flood day you cannot name — an appointment day is Idol work, Blueprint unlock, Expedition return, or Infirmary recovery. See Extend Flood Countdown for Worship math.
