DIVE or DIE Endless Mode Guide

Endless Mode in DIVE or DIE — no Flood timer, achievement rules, and when to use it for practice runs.

What Endless Mode Changes

Endless Mode is available at new game creation in the full PC release. It strips away the Flood Countdown — no 40-day limit, no game over when the timer hits zero. You still manage Nutrition, Morale, diver death, and biome difficulty; only the hard calendar pressure disappears.

Drop Rate Studio positions Endless as a marginal, relaxed option. Steam players report that some achievements turn off while Endless is active and that Flood-themed dialogue still appears in the UI despite the missing timer.

Best Uses After Launch

Week-one Chiefs use Endless Mode to practice Stalker Wells crossings with Lantern off, map Eastern Farmlands without burning timed days, and test Blessed harvests before a serious Normal run. Treat each dive with the same named objective discipline — Endless rewards learning, not mindless salvage.

When you understand camp pacing, Worship extensions, and Idol routes, switch to Normal or Hard for achievement hunting and the final Flood offering. Madman Mode remains the prestige difficulty for Chiefs who accept permanent loss without reload.
