DIVE or DIE Week One Update
DIVE or DIE week one — Patch #1 soft-locks, Steam Deck reminder, Endless Mode practice, and community Stalker routing.
First Days After Launch
By July 24, 2026, DIVE or DIE had shipped its first hotfix window and drawn launch coverage from Rock Paper Shotgun, Bloody Disgusting, and community guide sites. Drop Rate Studio thanked players for bug reports and reviews, and pointed survivors toward Discord and Steam discussions for ongoing feedback.
The launch discount remained active through early August. Our wiki mirrors post-launch routing for Western and Eastern Stalker Wells, Graveyard access, Crimson Basin dives, and Eastern Farmlands approaches to the harder Eastern Well.
Patch #1 and Steam Deck
Read the dedicated Patch #1 notes if you soft-locked after a dive, dismissed Infirmary staff, or saw daily upkeep fire twice on reload. The same post-launch window reconfirmed Steam Deck Verified play for the full build.
Endless Mode remains the safest practice lane for Stalker Wells, Blessed harvests, and Eastern Farmlands mapping before you commit a timed Normal or Hard campaign.
Community Priorities Chiefs Are Using
Post-launch guides converge on the same mid-game bottlenecks: upgrade Diving Deck and Workshop together, staff the Fishing Hut early for passive Nutrition, assign Fishing-perk survivors, collect nets before each dive, and treat every purchased Worship day as a named appointment — Idol attempt, Blueprint unlock, or Stalker crossing.
Stalker Wells guides emphasize three-pass routing: prove the crossing with Lantern off, return for the blocking resource, then extract Eldritch Blockades after blessing with an Eldritch Knife. Pair this update with our Stalker guide, Tips & Tricks page, and Best Upgrades guide.
